I am not usually a fan of mineral makeup. Why? Because most mineral makeup makes dark-skinned black women look like they had a date with Casper the Friendly Ghost and let him do their makeup to get ready. Yes, we can all rock mineral eyeshadows and blush, but what about powder to give us the "mineral finish" look. Well finally, for my brown-skinned sisters who are not in the running for the paper bag contest. The paper bag contest? When I was a kid, many Black people determined a person's worth by whether or not they were darker than a paper bag. So I was more than delighted when I discovered Erth Mineral Foundation. I don't have anything against most mineral makeup companies, it's just that their shade ranges are not enough. I'm a 6.0 which works wonders in this summer heat for a polished finish with minimal effort. The prices are great - $13.00 and "baby girl loves a beauty bargain." I added the bronzer in Warm for that just kissed by the sun look and voila, a mineral mademoiselle of magnificent makeup - excuse the alliteration :)
